Description
The Shimano RD-M310 Altus SGS Rear Derailleur is a 7/8-speed MTB-style component designed for city, sport, and youth bikes. Part of the Altus range, it delivers excellent cost performance while providing a feeling of easy control that inspires confidence, particularly for novice and younger riders.
This mountain bike rear derailleur features a light action operation combined with oversize pulleys to support a wide gear choice. The use of 13- and 15-tooth tension and guide pulleys helps to reduce noise and wear, contributing to smoother and more reliable shifting.
An extension spring and low-friction fluorine-coated link pivot bushing further enhance the light shifting action. The top normal spring design makes it suitable for use with Rapidfire shifters. A wide link design improves rigidity, resulting in more precise shifting performance.
The derailleur is compatible with IG and HG chains and supports 7- and 8-speed drivetrains. It is designed for use with 28 to 34 tooth low rear sprockets and offers a total capacity of 43 teeth.
